From the world of the lost
So... I am back!
hmmm. Where to start.
Day 1-Saturday:
Went out at 7pm after a whole day of moping about.
Reached the coach at 8.
Slept.
Kept waking up along the way for passports and whatsnot.
Day2-Sunday
It was a 10 to 12 hours ride.
But finally reached.
My mum was freaking out
cause she thought that we missed our stop.
and knowing the coach...
stop are probably hundreds of km apart from each other.
anyway!
we didn't.
so there.
Reached at about..7am?
met relatives went their place.
waited an hour.
I brought 4 library books along,
intending to do abit of reading up there.
I mean...
it's an idyllic small town.
so... there isn't much to do.
besides...read?
So I was carrying along my book the whole trip.
and I realized, after 10 years of not visiting,
carrying around a book with the title
'The Serial Killers' Club' isn't exactly...
welcoming. HAHAHAHA.
Mum went food-berserk at the market.
we shared 3 bowls of noodles:
Hokkein mee, Kway teow, and..i can't remember what's the last one.
anyway.
yeap!
at night, went to this weekly pasar malam.
it's like... this really huge night market.
probably 10 times our pasar malam size thingy.
Wanted to buy clothes.
but their clothes ain't too cheap.
at about..RM50 a piece.
Their LAN gaming was...crazy cheap though.
3 hours for RM3
Went home after that.
Read book. Finished the first book!
Slept.
Day 3- Monday
Can't...really...remember.
OH WAIT.
yes I do!
Went to the dentist.
Cause apparently it's really cheap there.
And I can escape the dentist back here.
muahahaha.
Apparently, the reason why it's so cheap?
The dentist doesn't use anesthesia.
I found that out.
the hard way.
the REALLY hard way.
I was tearing there.
and kept spitting mouthfuls of blood
after blood.
after he was done.
HAHAHAHAA.
but at least it's over! wheeee.
Day 4- Tuesday
Went shopping!
Played arcade!
yada yada!
ohoh and my mum and I were browsing the alcohol section.
And a bottle of like... alcohol is only RM4.
i'm not kidding!
that is like... S$1.66?!
and singapore sells one for easily 7 to 8 bucks.
what a rip-off.
I knew the government taxed alcohol.
but THIS much?!
kind of insane.
and I was walking when I saw this shelve full of booze.
from ABC Beer to Tiger Beer.
And above the shelve was a large sign
saying
'Tidak Halal'
I have no idea what Tidak means.
But Halal?!
I thought muslims who go Halal can't alcohol?!
and i didn't know there was such thing as Halal-alcohol.
HAHAHAHA.
Went home..
Drank that bottle.
my mum took a bit.
Day 5-Wednesday
Stomachache.
Pain.
(the alcohol)
(owch)
bad alcohol.
Went fortune-telling.
Apparently the temple...
woman is supposed to be very good at fortune-telling
or whatsnot.
She was using those standard poker card decks and stuff.
So my mum made me go first because she wanted to ask about my A's results.
(wow.)
It was really quite hilarious.
I was trying not to laugh.
Because the atmosphere was so...serious
and there were like..relatives there.
who were all like..really serious.
ok so this is how it went.
my mum wanted to ask about results.
So the fortune-teller asked me to take some cards..yada yada
So she read the cards and said
*his results.. will be very good*
*There's an Ace of hearts here... that's number 1*
*will be able to go any university he likes*
so my mum was happy.
I was like.. yay!
then before my mum could continue asking about my results.
the fortune-teller continued
'Do you have any girls falling in love with you?'
I was like.... bwuh!? HAHAHAHA.
so I was like... er.... no?
She was like..
'If you do in the near future, you will be very confused'
'But remember that studies always come first'
then i was like...er...ok?
then my mum cut in cause she wanted to ask about army.
so the fortune-teller was looking at her and like
'Yea... his army life will be 2 compulsory years(Like... ya? no choice)'
'Will be over very soon, no disasters, will be able to rise in ranks.. yada yada'
then before my mum could ask again
she look at me and told me
'When you go to university, there will be alot of girls.'
she kept emphasizing alot.
I was on the verge of laughing already
cause my mum didn't care about the girls part.
but the fortune-teller kept telling me about girls.
as though giving me some..insight into my future.
girls?
hmmmm.
anyway! after some more of the same interjecting
and I was trying not to laugh.
She said I may not be able to find a good job this holiday
because I got low employ-ability this period.
yeapp.
Oh. And she told me not to take any medicine/doctor course in uni
she recommended being...a lawyer?
even though I told her I was considering corporate.
She said if I was a lawyer,
It will be very yi lu shun feng. thingy.
She said I will be the very quiet type.
(I'm guessing the type who do law contracts instead of court defending)
Then she continued telling me about how there will really be alot of girls in university.
HAHAHAHAHAA.
so I'm guessing my court in uni will be... populated by girls?
LOL.
and then she said
my friends are all good people.
Don't have to worry about them.
hmmm.
then my mum was so pek chek.LOL
my mum was like.. er...ok already bah. my turn!
HAHAHHAHAHAHAAA.
anyway! she said I will be able to get into any uni I choose
because of my good results.
denoted by the Ace I chose twice in a row.
(yea. Even I was surprised. two Aces in a row. Damn that's good)
Then took the coach.
Came home.
Slept.
Woke up.
Here!
Gonne send in my resume today I guess.
Time to look hard for a job.
With my low employ-ability and all.
seeya!
